This mural, painted on the mexican side of the Nogales border wall, is a reproduction of the Zapatista Taniperla mural, which was destroyed by Mexican troops on April 11, 1998. Other reproductions (or really re-doings) exist in several different places, including on the outside of City Lights books in San Francisco, in Barcelona, Madrid and Bilbao, Spain; Florence, Italy; Mexico City, Brussels, Paris, and Oakland, California. This one isn’t quite done – many of the people don’t have faces yet, etc.
this image is a panorama stitched from 2 photos.
The ornate graffiti writing down below says "Deportan a la Migra" – Deport the Border Patrol.
