this little cutie got chased over to the deck at my house where i was sitting, by another hummingbird, and it landed and just sat there. on the deck. the other one hovered for a moment then zoomed off. me and my housemate sat there and got like a yard away and it still just sat there. i’ve never seen a hummingbird so still like that, ever.
we could see it blinking and breathing! i was worred it was sick or something. finally after about 10 minutes it suddenly just blasted off and outta there. weird. maybe they were mating and it was tired? that’s my best theory.
