The Peachcakes were the third band. Also from Phoenix. They were sort of a post-electroclash, dork-pop sound. disco beats, soft emo-ish rappish singing, retro synth sounds. Like taking Peaches one step further and 15 years back, if that makes any sense. Northwest bands like The Blow, Tracy and the Plastics, and Panther are good musical comparisons, but these guys took the purposeful 'uncoolness' to new extremes. Which is totally great and refreshing.
