Tantos Ruidos

For the last year or more I have been gradually getting back into making music. It's been slow going, partially because of the learning curve of new audio tools I'm working with, and also because I've been uncertain what sort of music I want to be making.  One thing I know is that I do not want music to be my primary creative focus like it once was (for about 13 years ending in 2003).  Filmmaking is still what I take the most seriously. Music is something I now want to do mostly just for fun.

So, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do and how, but it will be more "accessible" than the experimental and noisy sound collages I used to specialise in, and it won't be so serious.

A collection of little "studies" have been building up in a folder on my hard drive for the last few months. This is one.  I was playing around with some jazz snare brush loops and other samples and got into a sort of Amon Tobin, Bebel Gilberto mode.  I even found some brazilian vocal track to layer over it, someone named Tamy who posted the acapella of a song of hers on CCmixter.

Anyway, enjoy, and I now have comments activated properly so if you have feedback and you're not a spammer or robot, please feel free.
