I bought this at Documenta 12 in 2007 in Kassel, Germany. I read most of it pretty quickly but then stalled on the final essay for a few years. Finally I'm done. This exhibit catalog is full of a great many interesting video and installation pieces that engage the idea of documentary in art. It's interesting and inspiring, although as usual with many art catalogs, it's filled with obtuse and rarefied academic art-speak.
